Ability to schedule a user to be enrolled in a course/curriculum on a specified date/time.

    Being able to schedule course enrolments X days after a specific value e.g. hire date would be such a plus to the utility of this system.

    In health care, there are certain regulatory training requirements that a new employee must complete on date of hire. The HRIS department often has employee data set up in the system well before an employee's actual start date. This triggers the enrollment of required courses, which are then overdue before the employee even officially starts with the organization. This does not contribute to a good first day experience or introduction to our online learning environment. What automated solution can be used to address this so that enrollments do not occur before the employee date of hire?

    Our manufacturing company has a monthly safety training schedule for topics required by OSHA. We would prefer that everyone in the respective audience is enrolled on the first of the month. This helps department heads better manage the time required for production employees to away from their job.

    We are using post enrollment rules for any training that must be conducted on a regular schedule, such as annually or every three years. We are just starting year two of this process, so long-time employees are automatically being re-enrolled on the appropriate date, as intended. Anyone who has been hired recently however, ends up a different schedule as their re-enrollment date is based on their first completion, rather than the preferred month. A System Admin must perform manual re-enrollments on these recent hires, to conform to the schedule.

    There would need to be an option similar to the Allow Consecutive Enrollments post enrollment rule, which disregards previous enrollments. In other words, we want to force a re-enrollment.

    This could be very useful for annual mandatory training. If the course is ready, and this would allow mass-enrolling across a department, it could save a lot of time.

    Three days before the new hires' start date, Workday feeds the information to the LMS. At that moment, automatic enrollment gets triggered. Because they get enrolled before being hired, they have less time for training. As someone mention on a comment below, being able to schedule an enrollment would allow for more accurate data.

    Hi everyone,


    Thank you for continuing to add your voice to this thread and provide your input.


    I understand the frustration from some of you around feeling like the 'Reviewed' status and subsequent comments do not meaningfully affect the concern you have.


    That said, I can share that this idea was raised up for consideration amongst a lot of our other highly voted client ideas and that is why it has the 'reviewed' status. It was ultimately not prioritized due to bigger items needing to be prioritized first (we only have so much development capacity each cycle) but that doesn't mean that it won't come up again in the future.


    I can assure you though that this idea is on our radar it's just we can't make any commitments to delivery at this time as we have a number of priorities we have to consider before pushing forward with development on a given idea.


    An example of an idea we are implementing that had more votes than this one is 'Multi-Course Reporting'. I hope that this example shows you that we do listen to our client feedback, we do seek to prioritize the most highly voted, uniquely voted, items, and the only reason this one isn't being developed as of yet is because of competing priorities and limited development capacity.

    Adding my vote for this request too. Our new starters link via BambooHR so are normally created a week or so before their start date. As we auto-enrol currently based on "date started after" this auto-enrols them before they've actually started, so if it's a compliance-related course this shortens the timescale in which to complete the course. We also have new courses where we want to enrol them to coincide with internal comms on the topic to set expectations, which requires someone available to enrol everyone on that date.

    Being able to schedule an enrolment would allow for more accurate comms and completion dates.

    Reviewed after almost 2 years? is it still worth the effort for us clients to create ideas or vote, when it takes years for Absorb to respond and then with bad news? Unfortunately, this happens with many ideas of ours.

    Demetrio, this is a very standard feature of LMS's, and it is maddening that it's not even on Absorb's roadmap. The workarounds (e.g. certificate expirations) are cumbersome and add unnecessary complexity. Frankly, decisions like this make me question Absorb's prioritization and ability to understand customer needs and use cases.

After reviewing our most recent data and client feedback, we have yet to include this item in our roadmap. It will be re-evaluated for inclusion on our roadmap in the future though, so please continue to share your feedback and your votes here.

    It takes a few days for our New Employees to get access, so if we could have this feature, it would definitely create a better user experience.

    Would be great to have this option. Especially if you want to launch a course to a population that is not during your normal office hours. I.e., 4am in the morning.
