I would love to see this feature come over through the API! We currently have the manager dashboard/experience turned off because we don't have the bandwidth to manually add all direct reports under each manager.
We would like to see two improvements to the user import process:
ismanager Toggle via API: We request the ability to set the "ismanager" toggle via the user import API. This would allow us to control manager assignments more efficiently and align them with our HR data structure.
Manager Role ID in Roles[]: We would also like the Roles[] field to accept the role ID of the manager role. This would enable Absorb LMS to directly recognize the manager role during import, streamlining the process.
Hi, our need is the same! We currently create learners/update roles through an API so to manage the "IsManager" process through an API would be amazing!
Would love to be able to import managers using the API. Seems like (based on discussions with our Absorb client relationship manager), there is no good way to maintain a list of Managers for Direct Reports. (No way to create Groups via API; No way to set "IsManager" via API).

The current setup to assign the reporting users directly is not ideal. The way to assign a department like in isadmin is closer to our HR system setup.

Thank you for the clarification. The Absorb team may consider this as an update the API in a future revision.

Thank you for this idea submission. Can you please clarify that what you're asking for is:
that on the user record, via API, the isManager property can be set and that the correct role is assigned to the user on import
Please also let us know how you plan to assign direct reports for this new manager.
