Right now, enrollment keys can only assign users to a department. We need them to allow users to be assigned to a group as well. This will make a better process for both learner and admin.
Great idea - enrollment keys have huge potential but arent available enough throughout the lms.
I'll share a workaround to do this for new users: I created a read only registration field that I turn on for certain enrollment keys. User group auto creation rule can use this custom field = true.
Hope that does something for you while your idea is being evaluated.
