We have a need to retire courses, meaning we don't want to have anyone new enrolled in them, but ideally anyone that is already enrolled can complete what they started or re-access it to re-watch in the future for reference. We can't mark it inactive, otherwise access for those already enrolled is removed.
This is important to us as a software company, since we come out with new versions of software and want users to be enrolled in those new courses, but other users may still be on prior versions and want to access/rewatch/reference the prior version courses.
Thank you for sharing your idea with us! We’re excited to inform you that Rebecca was correct, your suggestion has been implemented and is now available on our platform.
To access this enhancement, simply disable Self Enrollment. This will prevent new learners from enrolling in the course while keeping the course active for currently enrolled learners to complete.
Your input was instrumental in making this improvement possible, and we’re truly grateful for your contribution. If you have any questions about this feature or further suggestions, please don’t hesitate to reach out, we’d love to hear from you!
I believe you can turn off self enrollment rules so it removes it from the catalog, but the users still enrolled in the course can access it.
