It would be great to have the following upgrades to surveys:
Add an "other" text box within a polling question
Branching capabilities
Option to select whether a survey question is not required or required
Single page layout option still requires user to "Submit Response" after every single question which can defeat the purpose of using this option entirely

Similar to 1, have an other options with the ability to type in text in a Survey question. Ability to save and reuse survey templates and duplicate questions.
I too am looking for a more substantial survey function. Branching is a functionality I made a lot of use of in other systems as well as the ability to adjust the look and feel of the survey so that I could choose colouring, layout, add images and videos, break the survey into sections, choose which questions to display on each page, etc. We used Qualtrics a lot and it has great functionality. I'd like to be able to do more of that within the LMS rather than having to send users to an external site, which means I have to do my reporting somewhere else too.
Yes! More SurveyMonkey-esque options within the survey tool would save me so much time and be much more useful to the learner experience.
