I don't know if it's just me, but the newer dashboards are not very friendly to department leaders compared to the previous version. I can't find ways for the widgets to drill down to individual users, nor able to have the widgets link to the relevant report pages. It's pretty good for administrators collecting more aggregate data, however for a team leader or supervisor, it gives little relevant insight to manage people.
Is there any update on this? Manager dashboards are great but the admin dashboards are not enough. We have too many non-managers who need the same type of information. The ability to filter down to an individual is massively needed.
This is a great idea and I agree that the Dashboard needs to have better functionality. I'd also like the ability to see how many learners are Enrolled vs Not Enrolled. You can do this on the Course Enrollments report and it would bring great visuals to the dashboard if we had this as an option. I also 100000000xxxx second the need to have a drill down option and overall more functionalities with our dashboards.
Agreed. Also, the dashboards need to have additional filters, such as date enrolled.
The Manager Experience will absolutely meet a great need- very excited about it, but tit doesn't resolve the current limitations of the widgets available on the Administrator Dashboard. It's making this page really wasteful for folks with limits on their permissions of what data they see. Perhaps this needs to be revisited altogether so these two resources compliment each other better.

I'd like to address the team lead / supervisor / manager use-case that has been outlined both in this idea and in the comments
We have a new feature called 'Manager Experience' which will be launching in the February release, it will focus on enabling you to configure person-person relationships which ultimately form a hierarchy as well as providing managers a view of their direct team's results in the form of an overview dashboard and more detailed view focused on: Course Enrollments, Certificates, and Competencies.
I would encourage you to take a look at this feature once it is available and reach out to your CSM for more information if you are interested!
It would be really helpful if the dashboard had the capability to show supervisors at a quick glance which direct reports have overdue courses.
Also the ability to add specific reports to the dashboard. Saved and Generate Reports may include too many items that are not always relevant and needed on the dashboard.
As is mentioned several times in this feed, we need our department admins to see logins for their direct reports. Right now only system admins and admins can see logins. This widget needs to be available for customized roles.
I was just playing around with the admin dashboard widgets and it really isn't very customizable. Like for logins, I would love to know unique logins for that day, not a total (x person logs in 20 times that day). For course enrollments, it would be fun to know the top 5 or so courses that folks are enrolling in (through self-enrollment only), or like in a given 7 days or 30 days, what courses were popular. For us to watch course activity but then can only select like 5 courses isn't ideal. I think this could be enhanced a lot.
Would be nice to have department-level logins appear in the Logins widget to admins below the System Admin level, rather than just an empty box...
+1! Or if it can readily be seen on the supervisor's user page that'll be an awesome feature.

I would love a drill down capability for supervisors/department admins from the dashboard
AND/OR the ability for the system admin to create reports and 'push' the 'generated reports' to specific dashboards so the department admins can see who they need to follow up with.
