Activity Feed - Learners Activity Filter

Users Activity Feed:

  1. The challenge we are facing are: Activity Feed is insufficient. Need to display absent, not complete, reenrolled and Course Name and deleted course activity feed. Currently the Activity Feed will only display the following Learners Activity filter:

    1. AddCompleted

    2. Comment

    3. Complete

    4. Earn

    5. Enroll

    6. Unenroll

Currently in Absorb we can see whom initiated the: complete, earn, enroll, unenroll for the user’s course. But I am unsure of the where “addcompleted” (see figure 1 screenshot below) or “comment” would be used. I am note sure of a location where “comment” can be entered. Or where the “Addcompleted” option is initiated.

  1. The proposed solution: would be to add additional filters, therefore it would be clear who initiated the: Absent, not complete, reenrolled or deleted records. Adding the course name and External ID would make it certain the Learners activity feed is reporting on the course in question.

  2. Our organization needs this functionality to pinpoint which administrator initiated the activity if not done by the user. This will help clear confusion if administrator need additional training or purposely manipulated course status. Impact would be profound in pinpointing data point entry errors done by administration/supervisor. Deleted reports.

  3. Overall, our facility work around to be triple sure records are avaialbe and survey ready is to keep paper records and sign-in sheets of all ILC classes. Scan those records and house it in another database system for course paperwork. For Online Courses there is no paperwork or sign-in sheet. Therefore, we have staff complete, online training at our facility computer lab and sign-in indicating what course they are completing. and remind staff their certificates and course completion records are their records to hold accountable for a period of 4 years.

Thank you,

Victoria Lucio
