Dynamic time zone that adapts to where the student is located for course results/certificates/transcript.

We have customer's all across the country. Our Time Zone is currently set to Eastern time, which is the time zone for the location of our office. However, when students from California (pacific time) view their transcript, it shows the time/date as Eastern time.

This is causing problems for folks who are due at midnight 12/31/2024. Our industry is highly regulated and student's have hard cut off dates to complete their courses. Unfortunately, a lot of students do wait until the last minute to complete their courses.

If a student in California completes their course at 11:55pm their time on 12/31/2024, the system shows them that they actually completed their course at 2:55am on 1/1/2025 because it is linked to the eastern time zone setting on our account. This means even though the student did technically complete the course before their cut off time, the certificates and transcript on their account shows the wrong date and time.

The only way to "fix" this issue is to manually change the completion information for every course that student completed under their account. This causes a massive slowdown for our company in terms of reporting the student's results to their respective state agency.

Please try to figure out a way for the student's course results to be linked to their actual time zone instead of the Absorb account time zone.

I write this having to spent hours working on New years with many more hours ahead of me because of this issue.

I have customers on the west coast that needed to get their courses done by midnight 12/31/24. Our Absorb platform is set at the Eastern time zone (UTC-5:00) since that's where our company is located. So for the west coast customers who started and complete their course between 12am-3am EST (9pm-midnight PST) their certificates are showing the started and completed their courses on 1/1/2025 even though they really started and completed their courses on 12/31/2024. This is a major issue for hundreds of our clients. It would be okay, not great, but ok if I could go in and manually change their enrollment date to the correct date, as I can with their completion date, so I could manually fix this issue. However, that is not allowed on your platform for some reason. It seems like an easy and necessary feature to implement to not only allow companies to manually transfer students from their old platform to your Absorb platform, but to also could be a useful workaround for admins/students to deal with this time zone issue your platform while you are hopefully working on fixing that.

Now we have to go in and delete hundreds if not thousands of certificates from students so they don't print the certificates with the factually incorrect dates on them and then we are going to have to manually create these hundreds if not thousands of certificates for these students. This is such amazing oversight on your part that is causing hours and hours of unnecessary work for our company . It needs to be addressed immediately. We have a large number of customers coming due in June and if this issue isn't fixed by then I will have no choice but to find a new LMS that allows time zones for customer course results to reflect the reality of the student and not one fixed time.

    Happy new years.

Agreed! Also an issue with our company where everyone needs to have the same deadline, regardless of their time zone.
