It seems when students are in the middle of a course and get kicked out of the course due to the idle timer, the progress they made through the slides is countered but the time they spent in the course is not. So a student can complete a 2 hour course but when viewing their time spent it could show they only spent 10 minutes in the course. The student did in fact view every slide and passed every quiz, but it looks like they didn't spend the required time in the course and may have cheated the system somehow (even if they didn't). Our courses are approved by government regulators who have the ability to audit student results if they want to. This could be an issue if they audit a student's results and see he completed the course but didn't spend the required time. It gives the appearance that our system doesn't work.
It would be useful if we could include the idle timer while students are in specific courses instead of applying the idle timer setting to the entire platform. For example, some regulators require that we have the idle timer while others don't. It would be nice if we could set the idle timer for specific courses that require them instead of forcing that idle timer on every single user of our system.
Additionally, if we could change the idle timer "time" for each course that would be helpful. For example, some courses would have an idle timer of 30 minutes while others could be for 60 minutes.
