Can we add the ability to limit the search? Example: If we search for information security, we get results for both information or security. There are too many results. Can we add the ability of adding quotations so that users can limit the search?
What is the search engine being used by Absorb?
Agreed! We need a more robust search bar in the Learner Experience, and this is a common request on this Ideas Portal (see links to additional related ideas below). Today's Learners expect search capabilities to be robust and smart, mirroring that of Google and other platforms. Please enhance the search functionality in the Learner Experience! Using Boolean operators, allowing for intelligent search (comparable functionality already exists in the Admin Experience with Intelligent Assist), and leveraging AI would be incredible assets to add to the Learner Experience. This is a huge gap in Absorb's functionality, one which significantly disrupts the learner experience and leads to increased engagement because Learners to struggle to find the courses and resources they need.

Today, the global search logic is not intuitive. If a user enters two words in the search bar, they are unaware that they are performing searches for 1st word or 2nd word. Even the results summary is not accurate today. See the attached pic, when I enter edis enterprise in the global search, the results summary, 129 results for "edis enterprise" would imply a refined search was performed, meaning search for only instances where "edis enterprise" appeared exactly in our instance. This is not accurate since there was an or search performed.
Shouldn't the summary be changed to 129 results for "EDIS or Enterprise" to be more intuitive for the end users?
Something strange is happening to my submitted feature requests. All new feature requests are having the idea summary/title overwritten and adding a different summary/title. see pic in attached files
