Make competitive "teams" for leaderboards

While users can "compete" against each other in leaderboards, our company would also like to add the ability for users to compete as teams in a leaderboard. For example, teams made by group or manager, teams made by job title, or teams made through choosing specific learners.

This would allow employees to collaborate and motivate their own team members to completion, and help us track which groups to reward.

A points system that allows to show by department within the system would be fantastic!

Hi Whitney- I think a "total points accrued" is great for competitions between teams, so maybe a "Global" leaderboard that shows all of the teams ranked by total sum, but if you click into any of the teams listed you would see more granular data and individual contributions.

Thank you for taking the time to contribute to this idea. Can you share more how you see this structured? For example, there are teams - HR, Sales, Accounting, do you only want to see the sum for the team? Do you want to see the individuals part of each team, and what they have contributed to that team? What information do you see as valuable to display? Looking forward to hearing a little more about this idea!
