We are getting a lot of users messaging to say that they can't enroll on to courses and that the enroll buttons are greyed out.
This is because they are previewing the curriculum before enrolling on to it and do not realise that they need to click on the 'Enroll' button that's tucked away in the top right corner to make these courses available.
This needs to be made more clear, we are getting alot of support querys in for something that should be very obvious.
My suggestions would be to add a text overlay on the greyed out course buttons to say 'you must enroll onto the curriculum first ' or to have an 70% overlay over the whole curriculum to highlight that the curriculum isnt active yet.
Thank you for your idea! For online courses, you will see shortly that we have reworked our course discovery modal (which will take the place of Course Details) when a learner is browsing for the correct learning that will move the Enroll button closer to the course title. When we get to redesigning the Curriculum Details page, this might also assist with curriculum to make the enroll action more prevalent. We will also consider some other UI improvements as suggested as well.
The enroll button could also be far more prevalent for learners when viewing the course page. It's a small button in the upper right and easily missed when we deep-link to courses. Definitely an area for simple improvement
