It would be great if we can have leaderboards for Bundles/Curriculums that we have put together to encourage competition and completion for a particular initiative that we've created.
Hi Demetrio, I'd like to add context to this... there are several other leaderboard suggestions that should be merged with this one as they are all asking for a similar thing. I've tried to explain in further detail:
We are just starting to use leaderboards and have discovered this problem as well... currently, leaderboard points are assigned at the 'object level' - i.e. you have to edit each course and add the leaderboard points to the course. The problem is if you have leaderboard points assigned to other items (such as collaborations), ANY item completed during the time period will earn leaderboard points. So, If you only want it to track points for particular courses, you have to find all of the other items that assign leaderboard points and turn them off - meaning you can't run 2 different leaderboards at the same time!
Additionally, this is a TON of manual work... we were testing the leaderboard with 120 courses, which meant we had to edit each individual course and add the leaderboard points to each one... it would have been much easier to add the courses to the leaderboard instead!
Thank you for the additional perspectives Christine. That is correct, you currently can only have one active leaderboard at a time. We will be investigating gamification improvements in Q4 of this year, and we will update you as we get closer to that time period as to what we can achieve in 2022.
I think the ask is to have the ability for different leaderboards - for example, a leaderboard for professional development courses, or, a leaderboard for the score/completion of one curriculum. Currently all points accumulate towards only one leaderboard. We'd like to see if we could set up multiple leaderboards based on different types of courses. (multiple "contests" going on at the same time.
Hi Demetrio. When we contacted Absorb to ask how the leaderboards work we were told that it cannot work at the course or curricula level. It sounds like that might not be the case but I want you to know we were told something differently. Do you have documentation in your knowledgebase on how we can override the setting on the admin side?
Thank you for your idea. We do currently support leaderboard points for curricula. That is, the default value is set for the portal and can be overridden for each curriculum. Is there something different that you are needing there? As for bundles, would leaderboard points be awarded simply for enrolling in the bundle (given that there is no completion tracking)?
Agreed. We might had not purchased the Engage module had we understood leaderboards did not already have this function. I am struggling to see the value of a leaderboard that is not tied to a bundle or curriculum.

Yes would love to have something like this. We wanted to run a compliance training contest for completion, but the functionality is too basic.
