Currently we have many courses where our users are only required to upload a document for approval.
When a user has completed the upload and it is waiting to be approved - the course still shows as 0% completed. We end up with many users who email for assistance believing that their upload has not worked correctly.
Once a user has added an upload, we would like the upload to be counted as part of the overall completion % meaning that it would change from 0% to 50%.
Hi Demetrio,
Thanks for that, i would assume as it is a key indicator as to whether the course is compelted or not, that completing the required upload should play a part in the % completed.
Whether there are other chapters/learnering, i would have thought if the upload has NOT been completed or has been that this needs to be included in the overall %.
However, the changes below in the pictures will hopefully assist in some areas.
Do you know if this will also affect whether the course shows as Resume or Start on the learner dashboard? We also have users who have completed the upload, waiting for approval, confused as the course still shows 'Start' on their user dashboard.
Thank you for this idea! We do not anticipate changing how our progress is calculated because it is a key indicator to both the learner and the admin as to whether a course has been completed and must work for courses with multiple lessons as well.
However, with our new Course Player just released in July, we do provide many visual indicators to the learner that their task to upload is done and just waiting for approval with both a) a card that is displayed in the playing window with a status of "Pending", and b) a clock icon and "Pending" tooltip in the right navigation bar whenever the learner comes back into the Course Player and clicks on the Course Upload task. Please see image below and let us know your thoughts on these indicators for your learners...
