There should be a way to create a dashboard folder or widget to a folder containing all resources, courses, and collaborations relevant to a specific group or department. If Group A wants to see all Group A material, they should be able to see it in one place as opposed to going to Courses -- Group A folder; then Resources --Group A Resources, etc.
For anyone who needs it, I have discovered this workaround. Create Group A category in Resources. In that folder, create Group A Resources subcategory for actual resources. Also in parent Group A category, create Group A Courses resource which is a link to Group A's catalog category and create Group A Collaborations resources which is a link to Group A's collaboration. You can even put the Group A parent on your dashboard using a Hyperlink, with a link to it.
