We should be able to group filters for courses and resources, and have more options for filtering. For example, resource type, audience, etc could be filter categories. Then, within each filter category, people can choose what filter to apply. This would help learners find what they need more efficiently.

Absorb customers are unique. We each have our use cases for the LMS, and while there is overlap, the current default filter options do not apply universally.
Creating custom filter groups would allow LMS Admins to customize how their students filter content, making it more relevant to their experience. For example, we do not use instructor-led courses or partner with Vendors, creating confusion among some students who expect that content will be available if the filters exist.
Our students want to filter for content most relevant to them, including their role, business use case, skill level, available time, etc. I've seen other LMSs utilize a tagging feature that tells filter groups which courses apply. In addition, configuring which catalogs/categories filter groups apply to would take customization to another level of personalization.
I've attached a visual example to illustrate custom filter groups for the learner experience, so this idea is not mistaken for custom filter groups for reporting purposes.
It would also be helpful to choose if the filer is AND or OR
