"Failed" button to be renamed to "Re-Take" or "Re-Attempt"
Whenever a learner fails a quiz, it shows a button named "Failed". Rather than that if that button appears as "Re-attempt" it suggests the users that s/he can retake the quiz
Changing this within the Translation section seems to work for this (I have the same issue - As the default word 'failed' would not re-direct a learner clearly and will more than likely result in incomplete modules - in my opinion).
My concern with using the translation change as a work around is that now the system will not report on anything failed - So if I were to have other courses or resources where a pass isn't required to complete and can be 'failed', this content will remain as re-take but completed with the button no longer working? or am I looking at this wrong?

This is likely just a translation issue. Go to the Translation section (Setup/Translation) and change the button to what you want.
