object pop ups create poor experience

In the next Gen learner experience, we have an object link used for the first object. It requires a pop-up, so the course page loads, and you see everything in the course, and then the first object loads, popping up the window. It felt to me that I had no idea what was happening, where I just went, and what I was even looking at.

Ways I see that would fix this.

• Use a button or link on the player screen to trigger this.

• Don't auto-load lessons (at least not ones set to use pop-up)
