Subscribe to catalog updates or tags

Allow learners to locate courses of interest by getting an update when something new is added to a catalog or tag that they might be interested in. I think the workaround we may use for now is creating a curriculum where they get enrolled in new courses.

This is a great idea. One of our managers just asked me yesterday how they could find out about new course additions and this would be very helpful in that regard. It would also be great for Admins to be able to "tag" certain departments, groups, or job titles on the back end as well. For example, I could subscribe all the programmers in my org to a certain tag and sort of force them to be notified of catalog additions.

This would be a good way of alerting users to the fact that the content is always changing in the LMS. It shows them what's available even if they're not regularly logging into the LMS and can peak their interest and have them complete training they wouldn't have otherwise done.

I agree with this :) It'd be great to notify users when something is new rather than trusting they'll log in every day. The only workarounds I can think of are setting up an automatic enrollment email, but that depends if you want them to be enrolled our not, is it optional, required, are users able to unenroll, etc. I also started using the Billboard to link to a course and modify it so it only shows to certain departments or groups, but relies on users logging in to see the Billboards.
