When course content is updated the assigned 'in progress' users will continue with the version they originally launched. Currently that version is overwritten.
I find that when I update a course, usually Scorm content, the in progress users will have problems navigating if there were any structural changes in the course (remove slides or change navigation).
There should be an option to prevent any currently launched (ie: in progress) from moving to the new version
