Absorb previously had the functionality when marking attendance for an ILC where you could mark a learner as having attended the session but not meeting the needs of the course. This would trigger the system to mark their participation "attended" on their transcript but would not trigger the system to generate a certificate. With the latest release to include the ability to mark multiple sessions under one ILC, this feature was discontinued.
It was very helpful having the ability to mark both the individual ILC session attendance and the course completion, as we offer education courses for learners to earn CEUs from different accrediting bodies who have different participation requirements that we track for each learner that they must meet/interact with in the live ILC sessions for us to grant a certificate. If a learner signed on to the ILC/webinar but did not actively participate (answer poll questions, etc) in the live session so we can't grant them a certificate.
With this option removed in the ILC attendance, the system will generate a certificate to anyone who is marked as having attended. And that won't work as we need to meet certain guidelines to keep current with different accreditation guidelines.
It would be very helpful to have the course-level attendance mark back for ILC courses.
