The Overdue report field always says "yes" if the date the course is/was due is in the past. It does not take into account the status of the course - so a course can be Complete and Overdue. The field should be set to "no" if the course is complete.
Similarly, the Days until Due field appears to calculate the difference between the date the course was due and today's date. A course will show with negative days until it is due yet the course is complete. The field should be blank if the course is marked as Complete.
To share a report to a client or colleague that shows that a course is "COMPLETE" and "OVERDUE" on the same line doesn't make much sense and causes way too many questions. As soon as the course is completed by the learner, the IS OVERDUE field should be changed to NO - because in reality, it's not overdue anymore. It might have been...but it's not since the minute the course was completed.
Overdue is a status of a course that is still not completed.
Would love to see this fixed in the next release.
For use this have become more prevalent with the release of the manager experience as it shows in the past due section of tool. It is very confusing to our managers.
Agreed. It would help in reporting overdue training (to filter by the Overdue column).
The logic applied on the past due field is incorrect and I feel it shouldn't just keep counting how many days since the training was due vs todays date. For compliance purposes, you only need to show if a user completed a training late and to show the actual number of days late or if the training is still incomplete and how many days past due it actually is. How the report both in standard reporting and essentials currently works means anyone viewing it will assume everyone is past due..
