Ability to Update Certificate Completion Date

We would like the ability to update the certificate of completion dates. For example, we have a curriculum that includes an ILT and an Evaluation. The certificate of completion is attached to the curriculum. Learners can enroll in the ILT inside the curriculum multiple times. But the curriculum enrollment only happens once. If they complete the ILT and Evaluation multiple times, thereby completing the curriculum multiple times, we would like to be able to change the completion date of the curriculum for learners via the admin backend. When we change the completion date of the curriculum, though, it does not update on the certificate.

For example, if a learner orginally completed the curriculum on 1-1-2022, the certificate shows the completion date of 1-1-2022. If an admin updates the completion date of their curriculum enrollment to 5-5-2023, the curriculum certificate still shows the 1-1-2022 date, despite the completion date having been updated.

Yes, I find this extremely frustrating. Whenever an online course is given manual credit, the curriculum automatically completes with the current date. I then have to go to the certificate report to manually change the certificate instead of it reflecting on the updated curriculum completion date. This is particularly baffling when there is a glitch or delay in the system that causes multiple certificates to be created with the incorrect date.

I have a similar issue with the overall problem being once the certificate is generated through course completion (by user/admin), it looks like it exists as a file. Thus, if the expiry duration, name change, etc. doesn't seem to update unless a new certificate is generated (ie. mark incomplete, and complete again).
