When we update assets or add lessons to existing courses, individuals already enrolled may need to be re-enrolled to see the new items. Looking to allow functionality for us to update assets and lessons as much as we need to, without having re-enroll people and manually mark their progress for the new asset/lesson to appear.
I understand that there are implications to retrospectively updating course assets such as certificates, but it's currently pretty time consuming to update enrolled users's asset or completed user's certificates retrospectively - it seems like it can only be done at an individual level or by re-enrollment etc. It would be good if there was some method to update retrospective assets to a specified group of users. It should be easy enough for admins to identify and create groups of users that need asset updates - eg by enrolment date. Something similar to the bulk upload tick box to include existing users - but to apply asset updates.
Thank you for your idea. I discussed this with our Admin Experience product manager, and we are in agreement that one of our guidelines is to not remove completions, so there would be many edge cases around completions and certifications that would pose a significant challenge resulting in this being useful to only a subset-of-a-subset of clients; therefore, it is not likely that we will be implementing this change.
