Allow Enrollment in recurring ILC after some sessions have passed

I set up a recurring ILC for a weekly training. Now that the first sessions have passed, I can't enroll anyone new (because they didn't attend the first sessions, it's saying no future sessions available). This is not a good workflow when you have new hires that you need to add throughout the year.

Hi, This was a recurring multi-session ILC with two timeslots (sessions) to choose from. I did manually enroll a new user after the first session had passed, but it would not them pick a session. If I manually enroll them into a session, they also cannot change their session, which they would need to be able to do. Happy to walk through the workflow with you as I did with the support team. Thanks for looking into this!

Hello. We tested this scenario further, and for a single session with multiple recurring classes, it is true that the learner cannot see or enroll in that session after the first instance of it has passed; however, an Admin can still use the "Enroll User" facility (see attached with Session 1 having already started on Feb 16 at 10am and recurring weekly) after the first instance of that single session has passed to force enrollment for, as the scenario stated, a new hire that joins after the first session. This is expected functionality required by many of our clients where the content of the first class of a recurring session is mandatory for the successful completion of an ILC. That is, by default we would not want a learner to join a session where they missed the first (or several classes) of an already started session. Of course, if that is required, you as an administrator have the ability to override that using the "Enroll User" functionality in the Admin Experience.

Alternatively, you can take advantage of our new multi-session enrollment feature released in 2023, which sounds more in line with having the same session content scheduled throughout the year. The learner can then enroll in the session that most applies to them based on the date they joined the organization, for example. That feature is controlled by the "Allow Enrollment in Multiple Sessions" setting of an ILC.

Hi, multi-session, recurring ILC. Once the first date (first session) passes, you cannot enroll anyone new into the series.

Thank you for the idea. Can you please clarify if you're setting a single session that is recurring or a multisession? Is this being initiated from Enroll Users in the ILC? Can you please walk us through your flow?

How would the session attendance be tracked if the sessions are recurring?
