Current State & Major Pain Points:
Currently, Absorb LMS relies solely on its native course evaluation questions for gathering user feedback. However, this approach has significant limitations that hinder effective feedback collection and analysis, leading to lower completion rates and an inability to derive actionable insights. Key limitations include:
Static Evaluation Form: The current evaluation form lacks interactivity and is easily overlooked by users, resulting in incomplete feedback data.
Limited Question Format: Absorb's native evaluation form offers only basic question formats (star ratings and open text), restricting the depth and variety of feedback that can be collected.
Lack of Data Analysis Capabilities: Absorb lacks built-in tools for extracting evaluation data into reports or dashboards for comprehensive analysis, hindering informed decision-making.
Solution:
To address these limitations and enhance user feedback collection and analysis, we propose implementing a dedicated survey tool such as Qualtrics. Qualtrics offers a range of features including diverse question formatting options, support for intercept and passive surveying, robust data analysis capabilities, and integration with Autodesk's enterprise ecosystem.
Expected Benefits:
By adopting Qualtrics or a similar survey tool, we anticipate the following benefits:
Improved Feedback Collection: The use of a dedicated survey tool will increase user engagement and completion rates by offering interactive survey experiences.
Enhanced Data Analysis: Robust data analysis features will enable us to derive actionable insights from feedback data, informing product development decisions more effectively.
Alignment with Enterprise Standards: Integration with Autodesk's enterprise-supported tools ensures compatibility and adherence to organizational standards.
Issue:
However, Absorb LMS currently lacks the capability to support the integration of external survey tools like Qualtrics due to the inability to insert the necessary survey code onto the platform.
Idea for Absorb Product Management:
To overcome this limitation and unlock the benefits of external survey tools for our users, we propose enabling the insertion of survey code onto the Absorb platform. By allowing users to integrate Qualtrics or other external survey tools seamlessly, Absorb can offer a comprehensive solution for user feedback collection and analysis, aligning with customer needs and industry best practices.
Conclusion:
Enhancing user feedback collection and analysis capabilities is essential for driving product improvements and ensuring customer satisfaction. By enabling the integration of external survey tools like Qualtrics, Absorb can elevate its value proposition, empower users with advanced feedback capabilities, and strengthen its position as a leading LMS solution in the market. We believe that this enhancement will not only address current pain points but also unlock new opportunities for innovation and growth.
