Allow eSignature on Mobile App

Over half of our population are tech and field team members and do not have computer access in the field, so they often use the mobile app. However, we're trying to simplify policy and procedure, and other training sign-off, but the LMS doesn't allow for eSignature on the Mobile App and we end up using another system or do a manual work around. I'd like to suggest that this be changed and implemented so all team members can make use of the LMS.

We are in the same boat ... eSignatures are essential for us ... which makes the mobile app unusable for us currently.

Having it available offline would be a bonus for us, but we would take online only if that was the only option available.

Hi Demetrio, I agree with Donald. We would only require our team members to complete the eSignature while online. Being offline would be an added bonus, but it's not completely necessary. Thank you!

Once we launched Absorb, we quickly realized the app with it's limited functionality did NOT meet our needs. We require all team members to access Absorb using the web version, no matter what device they are using. However, if eSignature did become available on the app, we would seriously consider using it. For us, it would be easy enough to tell learners only do the eSignature when you're connected live, so the concerns you state aren't essential for us. However, I'm guess they are for the Lisa - who provided the original suggestion. So the main thing we would want is to have it available and wouldn't require the offline option. Maybe that could be a part 1 and then the other issue a part 2???

Thank you for your idea. Do you envision e-signature lessons being completed while the learner is offline without connectivity (in addition to when online with connectivity)? If so, this would require additional feasibility and security review in order to encrypt and store credentials (either username/password or PIN) while offline, and then validation of credentials as part of the sync when back online. thank you in advance for your clarifications.

We're in the same boat - our drivers and techs use tablets and the Absorb mobile app. So if we want to use eSignature, they have to wait until they are in the office and log into a computer to take the training. This would be a great assist.
