Currently, learners cannot easily search for a specific ILC session. Instead, they're provided with a list or calendar view of all available sessions of an ILC and have to scroll through all sessions to locate the one they're looking for. Please add the option to easily search and filter all sessions within an ILC. The option to use a free text search or filters similar to those provided at the catalog level would be ideal.

I think this idea is focused on the Learner Experience when someone is searching for a session to enroll in. However, there is idea: https://ideas.absorblms.com/ideas/LMS-I-722 which focuses specifically on the filter you are referring to. Your request is identical, so definitely endorse that idea if you haven't already!
Yes. This was an option in the previous AE, under the Session tab within an Instructor Led Course, there was a drop down box above a search box. The drop down would allow you to specify by Description, Name, Date (?) for the session you were searching for. The search option is no longer there so to search for a session, you have to do it by scrolling through the list.
