Currently resources are always displayed in Alphabetical order, the ability to adjust how resources are displayed would enable displaying resources in a meaningful order
With our latest release, sorting is currently available for both, global and course resources. In all relevant pages in Learner Experience there's now a dropdown that allows sorting by name (alphabetical and reverse), date (oldest, newest) and by resource type. Alphabetical sorting is the default.
I see the status was just changed to "Currently Available", but as far as I can tell, nothing about the functionality of resources has changed. There's still no way to set a custom sort order. Everything's still displayed alphabetically.
We'd also like to be able to manually sort our resources. Currently the order that the resources are put in on the back end, doesn't reflect on the front end.
We also would like to be able to sort the resources that we upload. We run an 8 week ILC and upload resources every week prior to the sessions. It is not a good learner experience when they do not upload in order and we are unable to sort them ourselves.
I'd like to see the ability to sort from A-Z and Z-A to see the reverse order of the resources, on the viewers side.
We have 50+ newsletters currently ordered by date, and to see that latest date, we have to scroll right to the bottom and it would just make sense to reverse order.
Hi Demetrio, I'd like to see the ability to manually sort resources, with dragging sliders or something similar. If we have six different documents provided in a course in the resources, I may want the first item to be a playbook, then the syllabus, then sample materials, etc. The ability to custom sort within a course or curricula would be ideal. I want this sort option on the admin side, not available to learners. I want to control what they see first in the Resources.
We have 8,000+ items in our global resources, and probably a thousand are resources that are embedded as Resources to a curricula.
Thank you for your idea. What are the other sorting options that would be beneficial to your org & learners? Newest, Trending, other? Also, might you share how many global Resources you have in your LMS and are available to the typical learner?
Also, do you envision this to be configurable solely on the Learner side and/or have some admin configurability?

Would be very helpful for users to sort by date. That way they can see the latest available resource. New resources get lost in the shuffle.
