Problem Statement: Users do not see the description of each item in Resources, as there is no way to set their default view to display full tiles with descriptions. The user must realize that there is an option in the corner and select it themselves, which the large majority of users will not think to do. Thus, descriptions for Resources are rarely seen.
Solution: Allow administrators to set the default view for the Resources section, giving them the safe degree of control as they have over the default view of courses. This would include being able to toggle "Tags" off.
Agreed! This would be hugely beneficial for full utilization of the resources section. Many of our learners don't realize there is a way to change the view and end up leaving the page.
We still need this. And this idea may be merged with https://ideas.absorblms.com/ideas/LMS-I-3126
Agreed! This should be a simple addition, we can set the default view for Courses and Catalogue...it would be great if this were enabled for Resources too.
We really need this. In addition to learner confusion due to a lack of description, it also affects our ability to display project/ department/ initiative specific branding present in the resource thumbnail image.
