We would like the ability to have a different Welcome message for each template. We do have Departments that would like this message to be custom to their scope. This welcome message appears under "Hi (Name)" on the learner page.
Thank you for this idea. We are actively working on the ability to customize the Welcome tile text in combination with your background image. And given the department specific template functionality, you will then be able to have welcome messages targeted to each department.
We have released changes in July to afford you to have personalized messages & announcements in your Welcome Tiles for different departments. The ability to switch the welcome bar on and off would be useful as well.
