I like the Welcome Tile, but it takes up way too much vertical space. I would like to have an option to only display the message itself on a colored background.

As you indicated Gregg, with the new welcome tile configuration settings, you can adjust the tile height on the Options tab (as long as your background image is set to Fill or Repeat. If it is set to Scale, then that will take precedence over the Tile Height). Please see images below...
Melissa, we did run a migration of existing Welcome tiles for all client portals and regions to transfer default texts to the new configuration settings. If this was not successful for your particular portal, might you create a support ticket with all of your portal details so that this can be investigated effectively. Thank you.
The new setting options are great! After the update we are missing the default texts and associated translations. These should probably come along by default - a ticket has already been created... Other users with same problems?
We are currently working on a updated default dashboard for Admins with a very different look and feel. We plan to release this in March. Please find a design (mock-up) below, if you have feedback on it please let us know.
