Currently, there isn't an option in the learner's My Courses that enables them to sort according to due date in the card view. The learner can only filter by things like date enrolled, expiry date, etc. This would be incredibly helpful for our organization, as our learners would be able to easily see which courses they need to complete before others in a visual way.
Hello Everyone,
With the November release, we’ve added 2 new sorting options to the My Courses view of the Learner Experience:
Due Soon
Expires Soon
With these sorting options, Learners will be able to quickly identify Courses which they need to action promptly.
Please review the November release notes for more details on these new sorting options: https://support.absorblms.com/hc/en-us/articles/21970185655955-November-Release-Notes-2023
I would ALSO like to see this option in the Mandatory (Required) Courses ribbon.
It is intuitive for languages with Western Alphabets to read left to right. It makes sense to have the option to force a sort order by due date with proximal dates on the left and distant dates on the right.
Conversely, for those languages that are read right to left, make the option to have the sort order reversed, with proximal dates on the right and distant dates on the left.
Hi all, have you had an opportunity to check out our new intelligent dashboard element called the What's Next Tile? It surfaces a learner's top learning priorities, and allows them to dive into their must do learning. They can avoid having to search or click and filter through the Catalog and My Courses. The What's Next Tile exposes up to 12 courses in the following priority: (1) mandatory courses (sub-order: course progress - most completed first), (2) courses expiring soon - within the next 7 days (sub-order: expiring soonest at the top), (3) courses due soon - within the next 7 days (sub-order: due soonest at the top), and (4) upcoming ILC sessions - within the next 7 days (sub-order: upcoming soonest at the top). You also have the opportunity to enable Featured and Recommended courses to display. Please visit the What's Next Tile Knowledge Base Article for more detail.
Adding to this, the current sort options (enrollment, expiry) are sorted in reverse order. They should ideally be sorted with the first enrollment/first to expire at the top (rather than the last to expire) so that users know which ones they need to do first. Ideally admins would have the option to choose if the items were sorted smallest to largest or vice versa.
When we have new hires do orientation we have to also print out the Matrix for their division because the Madatory doesn't always say to start with the following. First we have the mandatory education for all divisions (1-4) and then the numbered item 5 and after are division specific:
General Safety Orientation(GSO)
All-hands Safety Call Q3 2022
State of the Union
Types of harassment
Curriculum-Mobile Time Entry and App
Curriculum-Asset Panda-General Driving Training (for divers only)
Curriculum- Forklifts- eLearning- 113-01 and Checklist: Forklift Operator Evaluation Form
Curriculum-Scissor Lift Training and Checklist: Scissor, Manlift, and Aerial Lift Operator Evaluation Form
Sorting would be useful. I would also like the ability to see this date on the either the Details and/or the List view in My Courses.
I agree with the sort, but would also like a field for the Admin to freeze the view. Our learners are taking mandatory courses that they must complete on a certain timeframe to be compliant with regulations. We would need to set the view to be in due date order, and have that be applied as the standard for us.
This is an amazing suggestion. Needs more votes
Thank you for this idea. Currently on our 2021 roadmap is the addition of a new dashboard element to display "What's Next" for the learner to surface the most pertinent coming due training. We will also be revisiting Catalog & My Courses in 2022 with our LE next generation, so we will incorporate this idea into that rework. We think both of these facilities will help identify and engage learner's to complete what is coming due.
Agree, this is a necessity.
I very much agree. I am surprised that due date is not a standard sort field for learners in the My Course area. Adding that field as a sort option would greatly improve the experience for our learners and will allow them to prioritize their own learning more effectively.
