When setting up a new template for dashboards, you must assign the template to the department that will use it. This is troublesome because it provides no buffer to test this template prior to assigning. It would be incredibly helpful to be able to assign the template to a test department for setup and then when you are ready to go live with the template, you can re-assign the template to the correct department. The way I have to accomplish this now is setup the template in my test dept. Then once I get it where it needs to be I have to create it from scratch all over again, hoping that I do not make an error in replication.
