Our company uses Outlook, so exporting a session calendar invite as an iCal (.ics) file causes all formatting done in the session description to be removed when adding to Outlook. This is a problem because we include all the extra Zoom dial in information other than the link in the description. It is causing more confusion for learners who used to be able to download easily before our IT Department upgraded our Office. It would be nice to have the option to set the export file to be a file type that is more compatible with Outlook like vCalendar files (.vcs) that Outlook uses normally.
Thank you for your idea. Is this applicable to the Add to Calendar function available in our Learner Experience?
Our company does this as well. Along with instructing learners to download them themselves using the calendar function, since the invites that are initiated from the site doesn't always come in as they should or multiple invites are initiated, which causes confusion. The formatting is stripped, and important information is removed.
