My idea is related some to this one

Featured courses can only appear on the dashboard as a ribbon (that I can see). I was looking for a way to create a tile, or a billboard to take people to a select group of courses that are just part of a category, or from multiple categories to be featured or promoted. This could also include multiple feature groups instead of just one.
I would like the ability to feature courses and global resources in one ribbon. The scenario I have is that our system gets updated each month and we have a release overview course and many new global resources. There are also new courses added at various points in the month. I would like to be able to tag the new content as 'New' and then have that content automatically display in a 'What's new?'/featured ribbon at the top of the learner's home page. Only content that is tagged and meet the availability rules should be displayed. For example, if the user's language is English, they should not see the French content that is tagged as 'New' because the rules in the French content say that the user's language must be French. At the moment, I can set the courses as featured and have a ribbon for featured courses, but I don't have the ability to do anything for the global resources (other than creating another row of manual tiles with URLs linking to each global resource - but that is too time consuming).
Yes! The ability to create rules for featured courses would be huge! We want to show users in different departments different feastured courses. We currently solve this with enrollment rules, but there are cases where we would want everyone to be able to enroll in a course from the catalog, but only certain departments see it as featured.
I would upvote X100. I think it's very hard for large organizations to use "featured courses" as designed--as you can only feature a course across all. I would love to have the ability to set rules for featured courses.
