Map Observation Checklist fields to Absorb custom fields

When a learner completes an observation checklist, why not allow those fields to be mapped to Absorb custom fields?

After reviewing the Observation Checklist features with your implementation manager, we decided to abandon it...

    In favour of a survey.

Surveys (with answer-based actions) CAN map data entered into survey questions to Absorb custom fields.

And there is the option for a dropdown.

And there is the option for auto course enrollment based on answer. And adding competency.

And the answers can be weighted towards a final score.

The one thing lacking is the reviewer name.

All this to suggest: please add these survey features to the Observation Checklist! Thanks!

    Hi Pamela,

    Thanks for reviewing the request.

Think of this in an interview scenario. There are many checklist fields that our reviewer walks through:
    eg:

    • Planned earnings

    • Licensed since (year)

    • Board they are licensed with

Right now, to the best of my knowledge, information submitted in the observation review goes nowhere, just sits there.

We also have the above fields set up as custom fields in Absorb.

Ideally what we would like to see is when the reviewer enters the "Planned earnings" that value should be mapped to the learner's profile custom field called "Planned earnings". So map the observation checklist field to the matching Absorb custom field.

This exact functionality IS available in Surveys>options> use answer-based actions. Each survey question allows answer-based actions to map the answer to a custom field, in our case "Planned Earnings"

So if it makes better sense, the idea is to add answer-based actions to Observation checklists!
