For many of our external courses our learners are given certificate PDFs to prove they attended and passed the course. They could upload to the External Training area but we prefer them be attached to a course as its better to report on that way.
I'd prefer them to add as a certificate upload but the problem with this method is, they get two certificates, one for completing the course and the second one they uploaded which is a bit confusing. The alternative is to just create a file upload and switch off the course certificate.
Can we have an option to switch off the course certificate but keep the certificate upload? or add a certificate upload type to the normal uploads area.
Yes, this is confusing for learners and annoying from an administrative perspective. The certificate on the course is not actually the professional certificate that was uploaded.
or make the uploaded certificate become the main course certificate i.e. appear on the right panel under the 100% progress circle as a green icon which when clicked opened the actual upload.
