Today, per the support article, when max nudges is 0, no nudges will be sent. It is confusing when you can save a Course with Nudge every 7 days and max nudges of 0. An Admin might think that this is infinite max nudges and not that "no nudges" will be sent.
Perhaps curriculum should NOT allow publish without a required field properly populated since the system default prevents truly engaging the setting. For example, if Send Nudge email is activated, user should be prompted on publish to update the max nudge value. Perhaps some help text on the screen itself would be helpful as a reminder, too. OR don't set system default to anything - should automatically remind user then if send nudge is activated and the field is blank.
I agree. I think it should be set so that Admin is prompted at Publish to update the max nudges value. Also, a help tip on the curriculum UI next to that field to update the value. OR - just don't have a system default of anything - if nudge emails aren't engaged then no big deal, but if nudge emails are turned on, the blank field shows required - if the Admin doesn't populate, that should trigger a notice that a required field needs a value.
