Add the ability to rename a report layout. Currently, if you want to change the name of a saved layout, you have to delete the old layout and recreate it with the new name. This is tedious.
Hi Folks, We're currently evaluating this idea for feasibility, are there other areas in our reporting tool where renaming capabilities would enhance your workflow or efficiency?
Each year we run mandatory training, however that training is slightly different for each dept. So I create 55 different curriculum reports for one section of this training and 55 learner progress reports. But to keep it clear we need to name them with the current year. So guess what. I have to delete them all, then recreate them all each year.
I appreciate you sharing your usecase with us. Part of our process involves understanding your use case and analyzing the tools available to address it. I understand there's a gap in our current implementation of layouts, having an easily editable layout name will save time and effort. I'll bring this to the relevant team and update the idea status to reflect our process stage.
If you have any more questions or comments please reach out, I'm happy to assist.
All admins. Especially our two admin users internally, but we also utilize a custom role called Customer Admin for our customers' admin users, and they would benefit from this as well.
We design eLearning courses to teach customers how to use our SaaS Enterprise TMS (Logistics software industry in short).
Yes! I just had to do this with a bunch of saved layouts due to names changes we made across all curricula. I was surprised I couldn't just rename! I also needed to shared them all with multiple groups, so yes, tedious.

I agree this is tedious and unnecessarily time-consuming.
We are an entertainment business with hundreds of employees and many departments.
All admins would benefit, but for us, there are two main admins - we probably have the biggest collection of saved layouts.
