Hide completed courses in the My courses section but still have them visible in the catalog.

Another alternative to this would be ... In the Learner Experience, add a toggle on the Catalog page's filter options that allows the learner to "Show Completed" on or off. The "My Courses" page already has this option, but Catalog does not. By doing this, admins can still "hide" completed courses from My Courses and Catalog because this option is tied to each other, but allows the learner to choose what they see or don't see.

Hi Demetrio, please split the hide completed courses from My Courses and My Catalog. Offer the option of either / or rather than today impacting both.

Thank you for taking the time to contribute to this idea. We regularly review your feedback and it is instrumental to our feature prioritization and development process. After reviewing our most recent data and client feedback, we have decided to remove this item from our roadmap. It will be re-evaluated for inclusion on our roadmap in the future though, so please continue to share your feedback and your votes here.

Absolutly agree! Cant wait to see this feature implemented in the template.

At the moment our users are very confused as we need all courses (even completed courses) to show in their cataloge so they can choose to rewatch the information we have provided without trying to search for it.
Where as we dont need them confused with completed courses showing up in their 'My courses' information - as we tell them as long as your my courses is completed you are up to date - so much easier to say as long as your my courses is empty you are up to date.

Do we have a time frame for this to be rolled out?

Hello Kelly, Managing and persisting on a course by course basis for each learner, might be a bit more challenging. We will investigate this when we start implementing this and let you know whether or not it is readily feasible and performant.

I agree... it doesn't really make sense to couple the two views together. "My courses" is for the individual learner where as the catalog is the comprehensive course lsiting. The filtered veiws should be independent of eachother. We would love to filter out completed content from "My courses" but still have it visible in the course catalog for reenrollment.

Demetrio, I would like for learners to be able to choose specific courses they want to hide from the view. That would make it easier for them to find and focus on things they want to be able to access.

Demetrio - that would definitely work for what I was hoping for. Thanks for the quick response - I look forward to trying it out.

Thank you for this idea! Currently, there is

    • an admin Manage Template setting (Template > Courses > My Courses and Catalog) that allows you to "Hide Completed Courses" from both the Catalog & My Courses

    • learner toggle on My Courses to Show/Hide Completed Courses

Based on this request that you would like to, I believe, as an admin have completed courses hidden by default in My Courses but visible in the Catalog or perhaps vice versa (perhaps others would like it the other way around), we could split the admin Template setting to "Hide Completed Courses" to be set separately for Catalog and My Courses. That is, an individual setting for each. Might that address your business need?

The list of learner courses can be overwhelming. Being able to hide select courses as a learner would be a way to help reduce the visual clutter and make it easier to find what you're really looking for.

Or if they stay there - at least be able to make the "Show Completed" toggle in the refined searches persistent. I can click it to turn it off and NOT show completed, but when I leave and come back, there they are again. It defaults back to Show Completed.

Currently, the toggle to Hide Completed Courses under the My Courses and Catalog section of the template is "all or nothing." If toggled on, then completed courses do not appear under the My Courses ribbon OR the My Pinned Courses ribbon. We don't...
