Currently, the toggle to Hide Completed Courses under the My Courses and Catalog section of the template is "all or nothing." If toggled on, then completed courses do not appear under the My Courses ribbon OR the My Pinned Courses ribbon. We don't want completed courses to show up under My Courses, but we do want them to appear on the My Pinned Courses ribbon. Therefore, we need more options so we can specify exactly when to hide completed courses.
I agree that there needs to be more options under the "hide completed course" feature. Perhaps under the main heading, sub-toggles for mandatory, featured, my pinned and my courses ribbons. I would love to be able to clean up the ribbons by hiding completed courses, but still allow the learner to see completed courses in the catalogue for review purposes.
I noticed the Guest below submitted this suggestion back in May of last year. I think he's spot on in describing the 'issue'. Certainly, when a new course is published, an email notification can be sent alerting the learner that (s)he has been assigned a new course. AS folks get many emails in the course of a day, a notification can easily be overlooked. That said, if we provide instructions to the user to regularly access the My Course feature, then they can view only what is outstanding or new while still having all courses available via the Catalog. Please advise if this may be considered.
Strongly agree with this and have previously raised this as an idea. We dont want the my couses ribbon overrun with courses that have already been completed by would like learners to be able to find the course again in the catalog. This definately needs to be seperated out from being a join option.
