Sessions by default are sorted by date

The root request in Idea 722 was not addressed and this new request is requesting that the default sort of sessions = date (with actual date+year visible), which was the default in admin version A5. Currently, the modal window for total, future and past sessions is sorted alphabetically which is not useful. The session filter does not sort by date, and only filters for specific dates which is not the same as sort.

Absolutely agree! We just used this function for the first time and it was an unnecessarily painful process that took at least twice as long as it should have. Keeping track of muddled sessions was a real headache.

We 100% need this feature. We are in the process of adding in 2022 and 2023 past ILCs into Absorb and from the admin side, they are not sorted by the start date and time. Instead it sorts by the title which is not convenient or smart, IMO. Please get this fixed so that admins have an easier time viewing a long list of ILC sessions.

100% Agree, this is extremely confusing to look at when reviewing and/or adding in new sessions.

We use a session naming convention that is Course-Day-Month-Year-Time so that when the email goes to the learner, right in the subject line is the course info:

    eg. Basket Weaving - Monday, September 1, 2022 (0800-1600).

It is now sorting sessions alphabetically by session name, so unhelpful. If we change the naming convention of a course I want to look at the last one and would use the pagination to move to the last course to continue with the latest version, but that isn't what occurs now as you get the last course sorted alphabetically not by session date.
