Certificates shouldn't override based on new updates

when we create a new certificate template or update the existing one, it shouldn't override the existing certificate awarded to the participant.

I feel this has few votes because the average user does not yet know this is an issue and in hindsight will wonder why absorb did not already recognize this need. I agree that this not only impacts the user experience but changing dates and signatures that are different from the true completion date. This has a huge impact on our ability to maintain required educational requirements for our CE credits which renew annually. This creates unneeded duplication of courses and manual time that could be spent on educational content creation. In addition this limits our ability to post new content at desired times because we must instead wait for renewal dates to come around so it will not impact the user certificate. Please resolve this quickly.

Agreed - for example, from a regulatory or best practice perspective, our HSE courses have a certificate with the HSE manager signature. If our HSE manager changes, past certificates should get the previous manager's signature as it was when the certificate was issued. It should not be overriden with a new certificate and new manager certificate.
