Our employees are asking to see the following information in the enrollment and in the nudge emails:
duration of course >>>> this is provided either by the value for 'estimated time to complete' or the value for 'Learner Time', we use both in our team. Can we add one of the two field as a place holder in the email templates?
mandatory or not >>>> we either turn on the toggle for that or we leave it off in the catalog visibility tab. We could add a label in our template (Mandatory course : __ ) and the value Yes / NO would be displayed based on the toggle position
I know we could add this info by using a personalized email for each course, if we had unilingual courses!! Some of the courses we buy from a third party let the learner choose in what language she wants to do the course, as the course starts. If I customize the email of the course, the notification will no longer be sent in the language of the user, it would send the customized email.... So I would have to write the custom email in the 2-3 languages that are offered - making it a very long and confusing email... So the place holder will be a great addition for us!
Because everyone is so busy, having these 2 pieces of info in the notification would help our employees plan their time for the courses they are enrolled in, especially the mandatory ones.
Jan 26 : one more placeholder required
We started using the Enrollment keys a few days ago. I realize the Key name is available as a placeholder but not the Key Link.
Enrollment Key link >>>> we use an SSO to access the LMS so if we want external users to access a course, they need the sub-domain link, which is included in the Key link. If I include the LMS link in the email, they will be forced to login through the SSO and it will not let them in.
