Ability to Assign Training to People Managers

One feature we are lacking at the moment is the ability to assign content to individuals who have direct reports, or their role s a Manager in the system.

This comes into play during something like Preventing Harassment Training, where we are required to assign specific training to Managers in order to stay compliant. Not all of our Managers have 'Manager' or something similar in their title, and not all of our 'Manager' titled employees have direct reports.

This requires a bit of manual intervention, and makes it difficult to assign these trainings seamlessly as a part of onboarding.

Thank you for sharing your idea with us. After careful consideration, we’ve determined that we are unable to prioritize this suggestion at this time. While we recognize the value of your request, our current roadmap commitments and resource constraints prevent us from pursuing it in the near future.

That said, a potential workaround would be to create groups based on roles, allowing for easier assignment when creating a course.

Please know that your idea remains in our repository and will be revisited as we continue to evaluate improvements to enrollment rules.

Your feedback plays an essential role in shaping our platform, and we sincerely value your effort in contributing to its growth.

Our company uses a similar tactic for Sexual Harassment training. We have a Management Level custom field which is populated in our Human Resources System and imported via our daily feed. Levels are Supervisor, Manager, Director, Executive, etc. Anyone who is not a "leader" has an Individual Contributor value.

With that being said, it is HR Operations' job to maintain the Management Level value, so we occasionally find a job title with manager in the job title, but does not have direct reports. A request to HR Ops fixes that.

I had this same issue. I added a custom field dropdown for all our users called "Staff Level". The dropdown has "Manager" "Non-Employee Manager" (manager of a temp/consultant) and "Non-Manager". I then use this field as a criteria for assignment of manager courses, like harassment training. Hope this helps!
