There are default settings in place for the animation type & duration of objects on screen as well as the for the font type & size for different text categories (normal vs. the different heading types). It would be helpful if those defaults could be changed.
For example, we use a speed of 1000ms for all animations, but the default is locked in at 500ms. This means we have to manually change the animation speeds for all objects on the slide, unless we save it elsewhere and copy/paste (saving it as a model doesn't work because models also have the defaults applied!)
We also need to have text on the screen categorized correctly so the text-to-speech feature works, but the default font settings for the headings category do not match our preferences. So if we change the text category for something on screen, then we also have to re-do the font and sizing settings for that text. Further, the naming convention for the text boxes doesn't match the settings (when you add text from the top menu, you can choose from Title, Sub-Title, and Text, but in the settings panel the options are Heading 1, Heading 2, Heading 3, and Normal), which makes it hard to keep track while you're adding things.
If these defaults could be edited at the course theme level, that would save a ton of time and frustration.
