Currently ILCs have a recurring functionality but it's formatted to work for college type courses: an ILC recurs weekly for example but the people enrolled stay the same, like in a college course where new chapters are covered each week to the same students over the course of a semester. However this doesn't work with onboarding, where ILCs still need to recur and the content stays exactly the same over time, but the people enrolled change for each session as new hires come in. All companies have onboarding programs, and now that many companies are remote or at least hybrid, a lot of the onboarding curriculum is digital and primed to be housed in an LMS. However, onboarding is generally comprised of many different topics that span over the course of many days, weeks, or even months. We have about 12 zoom onboarding sessions that we would like to house in Absorb as ILCs to automate the enrollment and scheduling process, however the current way recurring ILCs are set up (outlined above) would have us not only still manually adding new hires to each ILC session but also manually removing past new hire cohorts from them too. All in all an admin nightmare.
