Would like to be notified if an Absorb email sent to a user comes back as undeliverable. Can an email be sent to a designated email address if an email is bounced back as undeliverable in Absorb?
I would like to see this issue addressed. The SMTP test tool is a great addition, but I'm not sure it really helps when enrolling hundreds of new users at a time. For large numbers of enrolments I work around this issue, by switching off the auto enrolment messages, and use the same bulk enrloment csv file to mail merge the message from MS Word to MS Outlook - making sure the Outlook client is sending from the desired email address (eg not my personal email address). Then after addressing all the bounced emails that come through in Outlook - and correcting any email addresses in Absorb LMS, there shouldn't be any more bounced emails when Absorb LMS sends other notifications, such as course completion messages.
Because Absorb email works by dispatching to client email infrastructure, we actually don't have a good way of doing this. We know that isn't a great spot to put clients in so we recently added the SMTP test tool in the Help & Support menu to assist in the diagnosis of email issues:
Yes!! This would be great for our organization. We are constantly activating users and resetting passwords for them because Absorb's emails don't make it through.
