Preview a Course in the Admin Experience

The ability to preview a functional version of a course in the admin experience would reduce the overhead involved with enrolling into it, launching it in the Learner Experience, and validating the state

If every product enhancement idea is going to be solved with an add-on product, then perhaps Absorb LMS isn't the right solution for us anymore.

This request, like the request for multiple courses enrollments on a single report, is basic functionality for most LMS providers. Your solution is to create something else we have to pay for. How exactly does this add value?

    Hi Sandra,

It seems that you did not review the discussion we had with Paul, as your comment does not hit the mark of the request. Also, restricting this behind a paywall of buying a lesser product that others on the market is a terrible way to treat your customers. But again, your comment is not what was discussed in the focus session really, we want to preview how it will look in the LMS for the learner, before publishing, to make sure all the settings, icons, etc. that the learner will see are correct.

    Thank you.

We acknowledge that previewing the course before publishing is an essential part of the authoring experience; we do provide the ability to preview the courses and content you create before publishing when you have our course authoring add-on Absorb Create.

You also can invite subject matter experts to review your course content to get their feedback and make the necessary edits before publishing. If you would like to learn more about our course authoring tool, Absorb Create, please reach out to us for a demo.

The work for 2021 is already described, but this feature is an excellent way to start 2022. If you have ideas for things that would make this more useful to you please feel free to add them to this discussion!
