The ability to preview a functional version of a course in the admin experience would reduce the overhead involved with enrolling into it, launching it in the Learner Experience, and validating the state
This is still only partially available to some types of learning objects, however, a general preview button would be a better solution. Instead of going about the round about way of previewing (making it available to only yourself, changing to learner experience, enrolling etc.) just have a general preview button that shows you what the entire course would look like from the learner's viewpoint within the "edit course" section would be so much more convenient. Thank you!
This is a major request of my team and I! We hoped that the sandbox would function like this, however we are only able to preview courses in the Learner environment if we assign them to ourselves/the preview group.
Since this one is closed, please add future votes and comments to this ticket. I don't work for Absorb but am REALLY trying to get this feature implemented. When my boss asks if she can preview a course before we launch it, it's a lot of work to have her preview it in the system. https://ideas.absorblms.com/ideas/LMS-I-3410
Agreed. It's not helpful unless you can preview anything that you add to the system. It's very time-consuming to confirm if elements worked by going back and forth each time.
I disagree that this is "Currently Available." This is available for some types of content, but not all. For example, I can preview a content package, but not a video. Additionally, I'm not previewing the course from the learner's perspective. I cannot replicate their experience without enrolling a user.
We need preview functionality outside of create in the LMS, to view the course and its learning objects without having to enroll as a learner in the course
Hi Just wondering if Absorb will be staggering deployment of the new June release (preview a course in the AE) for users? I've checked our portal instance this morning and don't seem to see the preview a course icon yet. The I noticed that our portal shows that our Absorb version says that it was last updated on June 1, 2022.
Super excited about this new future! Unfortunately I can not find it on mine. Has it already been launched to everyone or is the release later this month?
Will this only be for Scorm, AICC, Tin Can and Absorb Create and not all learning objects?? I really need this for objects so I can verify the correct version of the document has been attached. It would also be helpful for videos to ensure they are running as expected. I am really hoping this feature will allow you to preview any learning objects! It is really time consuming to constantly have to enroll a test user and log in as them to verify all content.
Agreed with idea and last comment from July 11, 2024 - we need a way to preview course without enrolling and viewing as learner.

Will this be available in non-SCORM online content?
Hi there I am not able to find this either. Where is it?
Also having issues seeing this option in admin. Please advise on how to view this options. Thank you
Can we see a screenshot of what it looks like? I'm not able to locate it either. Thanks!
Nevermind the comment, as I was able to find and verify the preview icon update in our portal.

Thanks for explaining. Can't wait until Monday. This will be excellent.
Hi Samantha!
June release is scheduled for Sunday June 5, so you will see it there on Monday :)
Hi Paul!
Super excited about this new future! Unfortunately I can not find it on mine. Has it already been launched to everyone or is the release later this month?
I agree with Deana. This should be available for all documents and multimedia content.

THIS IS WONDERFUL. Thank you Absorb team and all who worked on this!!!!
